Crimea – the land of great beauty that does not leave anyone indifferent, who has ever been on this friendly earth. “Magic edge, and eyes delight!” – admired the young Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. In addition, great Russian writers and poets lived and created here. Among them – Zhukovsky, Bryusov, Mayakovsky, Korolenko, Maxim Gorky, Kuprin, Paustovsky, and many others. Artists and composers glorified the beauty of ancient Tauris. The Crimean peninsula is generously endowed with the richness and diversity of nature with a variety of climates, landscapes, and vegetation. And the unique natural conditions of the coast helped to create one of the best climatic resorts in the world. Across the Western South Coast are towering white stone resorts, framed by evergreen parks.
The beauty of these places is largely created by human hands. Amazingly beautiful are the seaside parks! Ten of them, including the Alupka, Gurzuf, Livadia, Massandra, and Foros – declared monuments of landscape art and culture.
Along with the local flora are well acclimatized and have become characteristic of the south coastal landscape migrants from sub-tropical areas of Asia, Africa, America – evergreen trees and shrubs: Himalaya cedar, mammoth tree, palm tree with fan, wisteria, magnolia and others. It is hard to imagine the Crimean landscape, for example, without the cypress. Slim beautiful tree was brought to the peninsula even in antiquity by the ancient Greeks.
Summer – the favorite time of rest. In Crimea, it lasts 4 – 5 months. Mostly clear, not hot (affects the impact of the sea) wind free weather – blowing mostly light breeze and mountain-valley winds. No sharp fluctuations in atmospheric pressure and high humidity, which has especially positive effect on health.
Autumn in Crimea is called a “velvet season”. The autumn weather in Crimea is really velvety – soft, warm. In September, the average temperature is + 19 C, in October: + 14 C. The sea temperature is warmer, and in September in the Southern coast + 21 … + 22 C. By this time, the grapes, fruit, vegetables are ripen.
In autumn gloomy and rainy days are replaced by the winter with snow and frost in small. Purely spring – the sun, sometimes even hot, with the snow is melting. But winter has its charms. Tourists are tempting to warm up at the snow-covered plateau Ai-Petri. And spend a few hours on skis, and then return, and take a dip in the swimming pool with sea water!
The climate of the southern coast is unique. It is due to peculiar geographical position of the peninsula. The South shore is covered with mountains from the north winds. And the Black Sea during the warm season and the day reduces the air temperature over land, and in the cold night prevents it from cooling. The result is sharp temperature fluctuations – both during the day and month – are smoothed out. Another beneficial effect of the sea: it cleans the air, saturating it with sea salt.
