Famous Russian TV journalist Andrey Malakhov has become actually the face and voice of Russian television, working on prime time programs of the first channel. There is hardly any person in Russia who doesn’t know talented, successful and glamorous showman. Forbes Russia included him in the list of 50 major Russian celebrities of 2013, placed him # 28. Andrey Malakhov was born January 11, 1972, in the provincial city of Apatity, Murmansk region.
Andrey Malakhov was a classmate of Evgeny Rudin (DJ Groove). Malakhov’s father Nikolai Malakhov (1947 – 22 March 2006) was a geophysicist, mother Lyudmila Malakhova was an educator. As a schoolboy Andrei successfully studied at a music school, played the violin. After having graduated from high school with a silver medal, he moved to Moscow to enter the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov. He graduated from Moscow State University with honors in 1995.
Andrey Malakhov got further education at the University of Michigan for a year and half. While still a student was an intern at the department of culture of the newspaper “Moscow News”. He was also the author and presenter of the program “Style” on the radio «Maximum». In 1998, he joined the Faculty of Law of the Russian State Humanitarian University, from which he successfully graduated.
Since 1992, Andrey Malakhov worked on the program “Sunday from Sergei Alexeyev” (channel “Ostankino”. Since 1995 – the editor of international news program “Morning”, author and columnist “Style”. From 1996 to 2001 – a special correspondent and host of “Good Morning” (ORT). From July 23, 2001 to July 2, 2004 – host of program “Big Wash” (ORT / Channel One).
February 2004 to June 2007 Andrey Malakhov hosted music hit parade “Golden Gramophone” (ORT / Channel One). From September 2004 to 2005 – talk show host of Channel “Five Evenings”. From August 30, 2005 to the present day – the host of talk show “Let them talk.”
In 2008 he participated in the second season of the TV channel “Two stars” paired with singer Masha Rasputina. In 2009 Andrey Malakhov was co-host of the semi-final of “Eurovision” in Moscow together with model Natalia Vodianova, as well as co-host of the opening ceremony of “Eurovision” paired with singer Alsou.
Andrey married Natalia Shkuleva two years ago, in June 2011. Their wedding took place in Paris, the palace of Versailles, the former residence of French kings. His wife Natalia was born May 31, 1980, she is the publisher of magazine ELLE. Andrey Malakhov is the Godfather of Alla-Victoria and Martin – children of Russian pop star Philip Kirkorov. Andrey Malakhov’s hobby is collecting stamps.
