Straw art by Lydiya Retivskaya

Straw art by Lydiya Retivskaya. Searching the internet I came across a very talented craftswoman – Lydiya Retivskaya, who lives in Kuban, Southern Russia. She is a craftswoman, who has been disabled since her youth. “To people with limited ability God Himself sends the main thing – to want to work”. Lydiya, a woman in a wheelchair, found this blessed path, art for her is the only means of living and communicating with people. She is a florist at a high artistic level. “Folk art is available to any person in any kind of remote provinces”. For creating her beautiful pictures she uses natural material – straw, corn, onion straws, dried plants, flower petals.
