The gingerbread house appeared several years ago. At the entrance, tourists are greeted by the figure of “Spice”, a character from the Shrek cartoons. Inside, in order to get directly to the museum, you first need to go through the gingerbread shop. There are no gingerbread here. For every taste. There would be money.
Well, the museum itself has several rooms. In one of them, children’s master classes on coloring gingerbread are held or master classes on cooking a goat amulet (Pomor edible talisman), in the other, you can look at unique gingerbread. For example, a gingerbread house made from a recipe that is 300 years old. Or gingerbread cookies of a unique form: in the form of the book “The Lay of Igor’s Campaign” or in the form of a map of Ancient Russia in 1243.
The halls of the chocolate museum are located a little further. In one, the children are told about the history of sweets, and in the other they are offered to make chocolate or ice cream themselves (by the way, then you can take the prepared sweets with you).
“The collection of the museum is constantly growing,” said Irina Zherebkina, general director of the museum. – It took us about three years to assemble our unique collection. But now we can boast of everything related to gingerbread and chocolate. Recipe books, gingerbread molds, mortars, special basins for making jam. We show how flour was ground. In general, the preparation of the gingerbread is almost complete.
