The most legendary Russian game programmer – is certainly Alexey Pajitnov, the author of “Tetris”. Legend has it that the ordinary Russian programmer has created a brilliant game that went around the world, breeding millions of copies, but did not bring to its creator a dime. Legendary Russian game programmer Alexey Pajitnov was born 14 March 1956 in Moscow. He graduated from the Moscow mathematical school number 91 and the Moscow Aviation Institute. At the Computing Center of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, he was engaged in artificial intelligence and speech recognition. There, in 1984, developed the famous game “Tetris”. “Tetris” was written for two weeks on Russian national programming language Pascal.
In 1988, with the support of the Bullet-Proof Software company organized AnimaTek (game software development), and in 1991 moved with it to the United States. In October 1996, Alexey Pajitnov joined the company “Microsoft”, where, under his leadership, was released a set of puzzles Pandora’s Box, which received several prestigious awards. Pajitnov is no longer involved in programming.
