Legends of the Golosov ravine. Wish stones in Kolomenskoye, Moscow.

In Moscow, in the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve, there is a mysterious and unusual place – Golosov Ravine. In the 1st millennium BC. on a high hill near the Golosov ravine settled the Finno-Ugric tribe – the Merya, their sanctuary was here. The ravine is more than a kilometer long, it stretches from the banks of the Moskva River to Andropov Avenue. The voices of the ravine are called Velesov (Volosov) in honor of the Slavic god Veles. Veles was revered as the patron saint of livestock, fertility, wealth. At the same time, he was considered the ruler of the underworld.

There is Veles’ law – harmonious coexistence with the outside world.

Veles was spiced up with nuts, berries, honey, copper coins, kvass. There are 66 steps leading to the Golosov ravine, and 18 steps to the Moscow River (3 times 6).

A stream flows along the bottom of the ravine, formed by the group of springs “Kadochka”. The water in the stream is always at the same temperature (+ 4 ° С), the stream never freezes.

There is a legend that at the top of the Golosov ravine was the battle of George the Victorious with the Serpent. George’s horse died. The springs in the ravine are the footprints of the hooves, and the remains of the horse are 2 boulder-stones Gus (Horse) – a stone and a Devy stone. The maiden stone resembles a turtle in shape and there is an assumption that each bulge on this stone helps to cope with the disease of a particular organ. There are always many women around the Ninth Stone.

Goose-stone – male, has a powerful energy in relation to men. These 2 quartz sandstone stones were left after the melting of a huge glacier. Each stone weighs about 5 tons. Only their upper parts are on the surface of the earth.

Scientists have determined that very strong radiation emanates from the surface of the boulders – this is the area of the electromagnetic field. Perhaps it is this physiotherapy session that helps get rid of many diseases. The stones have not lost their magical power and if you believe, then the wish made here will certainly come true.

There is also an interesting legend about this place.

In 1621, Tatar horsemen unexpectedly appeared near the royal palace. They were seized by order of Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich. During interrogation, it turned out that this was a detachment of the army of Khan Drevlet-Gerey, who wanted to seize Moscow in 1571, but he failed. His surviving troops fled, and among them this detachment, which decided to cut the path just through the ravine. They fell into a greenish fog and were able to get out of it only after 50 years.

Another legend says that during the Patriotic War of 1812, 2 peasants disappeared, and appeared in their village a few decades later. In the 20th century, there was a rumor about 2 schoolchildren who also got lost in a ravine, and returned from there only a few days later. Each participant in these legends claimed that he saw a fog that glowed with a greenish light. One thing can be said, that there is no need to cut the road through this ravine, you never know what might happen.
