Russian couturier Slava Zaitsev – famous Russian fashion designer whose 50 years of experience in fashion and talent conquered the world. French press dubbed him “Red Dior”, Pierre Cardin and Guy Laroche acknowledged him equal, and Jacques Chirac awarded him the title of honorary citizen of Paris. Zaitsev was the first Soviet fashion designer who opened his fashion house.

The tradition to celebrate Old New Year, known to be related to the discrepancy of the two calendars: Julian calendar “old style” of the Gregorian calendar and the “new style”. His painting expresses generalized philosophical concepts, associations, and more frequently, feelings, moods, feelings of the author. Materials, which he prefers – pastel, pencil, pen. Works of decorative and sonorous color, and pose successfully perform complex semantic and formal tasks. Personal exhibitions of Zaitsev were repeatedly held in the U.S. (New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles), in Belgium (Berzelii, Kortrek), Estonia (Tallinn). Paintings and drawings of Slava Zaitsev were acquired in the State Tretyakov Gallery and the Museum of History of Moscow.
